About the RAISE Training Centre
The RAISE Training Centre is located in Nairobi, Kenya, at the Marie Stopes Eastleigh Nursing Home.
Eastleigh has been a centre of quality health care for the local population since 1990, renowned for its
commitment to providing family planning and emergency obstetric care (EmOC).
Formally opened in April 2007, the RAISE Training Centre provides a much needed venue for training
health care providers in RH skills for use in emergency humanitarian situations.
The RAISE Training Centre offers health professionals operating in humanitarian crises the opportunity
to develop and update their clinical skills in a top-quality environment, thus enabling them to provide
critical RH services upon return to the refugee camps and health facilities in which they work.
RAISE also collaborates with the l'Institut Africain de Santé de la Reproduction (IASAR) (African
Institute of Reproductive Health) in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, to provide the clinical training and follow-up in French.
