RAISE Partner, JSI, Publishes Op/Ed in the Huffington Post as Secretary Clinton Renews U.S. Commitment to Global Reproductive Health
Today Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver a major speech renewing U.S. support for universal access to reproductive health care. Joel Lamstein, President and Founder of JSI, a RAISE partner, reminds us in his op/ed, Re-Discovering U.S. Leadership: An Unlikely Contender in the Huffington Post, “…there will be strong words and very good intentions. However, what is needed is strong action and the political will to do what it takes to save lives and strengthen communities around the world.” If the U.S. can do this, Lamstein posits, the country “…is poised to provide leadership on the global stage.” Read Lamstein’s full op/ed and comment, if you are so inclined.
JSI partners with the RAISE Initiative to facilitate creative and practical ways to advocate for the provision of comprehensive reproductive health services in emergency settings.
